Copper Tubular Rivets
Product Overview
Copper tubular rivets are hollow-body fasteners cold-formed from wrought copper alloys C11000 (ETP) and C12200 (DHP). The tubular shank design reduces installation force while providing a large bearing surface for material deformation. These rivets are used in electrical, automotive, and light industrial applications where conductivity, thermal transfer, or non-sparking properties are required. Surface finishes include bright, tinned, and nickel-plated. Dimensional tolerances follow DIN 7338 and ISO 14589, with full material traceability.
Key Features
- Low setting force due to hollow shank geometry.
- High electrical conductivity for ground connections.
- Effective thermal dissipation in electronic assemblies.
- Natural corrosion resistance in mild environments.
- Ductile material allows consistent flaring and clinching.

Use a rivet setting tool with a concave anvil to properly flare the tubular shank. Recommended hole clearance: 0.1 – 0.2 mm over tube O.D. For hard or brittle materials, pre-drill or punch with deburring to avoid shank deformation. Setting force varies with tube diameter and hardness; perform trial sets to determine optimal pressure.
